Peter Gordon, award-winning chef and ‘godfather’ of fusion cuisine, has joined forces with co-owner and founder of The Providores and Tapa Room Michael McGrath, and the original founders of Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Adam Wills and Brandon Allen, to bring us his latest venture, Kopapa, opening on Tuesday 7 December, Midday. There will be 50% off the total bill on 7th (open Midday-11pm) and 8th December (open 8am-11pm), and it will operate as usual from 9th December.

Kopapa brings Peter Gordon’s innovative and exciting cuisine to the heart of vibrant Seven Dials, Covent Garden. Open all day, seven days a week, Kopapa will serve delicious and finely executed dishes from breakfast through to post- theatre suppers in a comfortable and stylish setting.

Peter is renowned for his unique culinary philosophy, influenced by his extensive travels around the world, and both Kopapa’s menu and design reflect this. Brunch dishes include Peter’s iconic Turkish eggs from changa restaurant in Istanbul – two poached eggs with whipped yoghurt and hot chilli butter – and the dinner menu features seared Yellowfin tuna with nori sauce, dashi jelly and jicama slaw, and New Zealand lamb chops on smoked sweet potato mash with braised butter beans and pickled garlic tapenade. Alongside this, Kopapa will specialise in barista made coffees and juices, and a concise, outstanding wine list from New Zealand and the old world.

Douglas Stewart is the architect leading the design of the restaurant, having worked in the same capacity with The Providores nine years ago. This will reflect Peter’s use of ingredients sourced from across the globe, from the artisan Turkish floor tiles to the Autobahn designed bench seats. Kopapa will provide the perfect place to relax and sample the wide range of inspired dishes.

“I’m thrilled to be able to offer the style of food we’ve been serving for the past nine years at The Providores in Marylebone to another favourite area of London – Seven Dials. We’re excited to be bringing Kopapa to local residents, shoppers and tourists alike all eager for the innovative cuisine and friendly service we’re known for. Michael and I have been good friends with Adam and Brandon for over 10 years and we’re looking forward to this new collaboration.
