The brand-new flagship bakery in the heart of Leicester Square offers late-night pizza slices and its Crème Brûlée doughnuts served straight onto the Square.

The bakery is inside Market Place’s newest dining destination, right next to the Odeon cinema, placing Bread Ahead at the centre of one of the capital’s busiest and most recognisable locations.

In a first for the brand, the Leicester Square bakery serves food late into the evening, offering sourdough pizza slices and freshly torched Crème Brûlée doughnuts until 10pm. Customers will be able to order directly from the street, making it a convenient stop for cinema-goers, theatre audiences and tourists looking for a post-show bite.

The menu centres on its handmade sourdough pizzas and its famous Crème Brûlée doughnut, which has become a viral sensation thanks to its crisp caramel topping and theatrical torching to order.

Pizza options include classic Margherita, pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage with ricotta, red onion and hot honey, and roasted aubergine with pesto and feta. Seasonal specials are being introduced throughout the year.

The Crème Brûlée doughnut is expected to be the main draw, with customers able to watch as each one is finished with a blowtorch before being served, creating the signature crack of caramel.
