Vineyards across the country will be celebrating English Wine Week between 17-25 June 2023.

Squerryes in Westerham near Sevenoaks has plenty to celebrate in English Wine Week. In addition to special offers on their sparkling wines, the award-winning vineyard is launching the release of the 2019 Squerryes vintage.

Visitors to Squerryes can delight in the picturesque setting and its wonderful views across the rolling hills and vines, which produce the award-winning sparkling wines Squerryes is famous for. Wine tours and tastings can also be booked in advance.

The Cellar Door and Estate Deli will be open from Wednesday – Sunday where visitors can call in and enjoy selected wine by the glass at the tasting tables. Charcuterie boards and cheese platters are also available to order.

To celebrate English Wine Week, Squerryes is offering 10% off a case of 6 bottles of English still wines, and 15% off Squerryes magnums purchased in the restaurant.

Visitors can also enjoy a flight of English wines in the Winery Restaurant, selected by Squerryes Master of Wine, Laura Evans.  Diners can also enjoy three wines not normally available by the glass, including the 2013 Squerryes vintage sparkling wine, a red and a white.

Squerryes Summer Tours and Tastings are available all summer (subject to availability) from Friday to Sunday and continue until the harvest in October.   The tours and tastings last approximately 90 minutes at a cost of £32 per person.

The experience begins with a guided tour of the vineyard where everyone can hear about the 300-year-old Squerryes estate, the fascinating history of the spirit of the house, and the story of how a disagreement with a French Champagne House led to the Warde family planting vines on the North Downs at the Gateway to the Garden of England. After discovering what makes Squerryes award-winning sparkling wine so exceptional, everyone can enjoy a tutored tasting of three of the best vintage sparkling wines; the signature vintage Brut release, vintage Blanc de Blancs and late disgorged 2013 vintage Brut, which has had 10 years ageing in the cellars.

Squerryes also offers private tastings for groups of up to 25 people and includes a tasting of 3 sparkling vintage wines: the 2019 Rosé, Signature 2018 Brut, and 2015 Blanc de Blancs.
