13th – 15th May 2015

It’s not just the claws coming out, Crabbieshack are popping-up for a snappy stint of crustacean craziness at The Hat And Tun in Clerkenwell in May.

Don’t be’shellfish’, cast your net and head to The Hat And Tun for crunchy, soft-shell crab burgers paired with mighty Margaritas, as Crabbieshack lands for three nights only from Wednesday 13th – Friday 15th May, 5:30pm to 9pm.

Bringing the Kent coast to the streets of the City, the Folkestone-inspired shack uses local and seasonal produce to celebrate the humble crustacean. Soft-shell crab is coated in Old Bay batter (a blend of herbs and spices) before being deep-fried for intense crunch. Fluffy burger buns are stuffed with fresh fillings, topped with crab and drizzled in a choice of sauce. Crabbieshack has become a firm favourite with London foodies, recently winning big at the Street Food Awards 2014.

The Hat And Tun’s Crabbieshack menu will be dishing out Old Bay Batter Soft-Shell Crab Burgers (£9.50) with a choice of fillings:

  • Fennel, almond, avocado and harissa
  • Pickled cucumber, chilli, coriander and wasabi mayo
  • Leafy sea aster and tartare sauce
  • Sweetcorn salsa and lobster mayo
  • Nori seaweed, apple, cabbage, spring onion and Sriracha mayo

For a lighter option, choose the crab and bun (simple and straightforward without the sauce and fillings, £7) or crab with salad (£7.50), while extra sides of Old Bay fries are also available (£3.50). Wash it down by getting your pincers around a punchy Tommy’s Margarita – one of ETM’s signatures – made with Olmeca Altos Blanco tequila, lime juice and sweet agave.

Shell out for some of London’s best burgers at The Hat And Tun this May.
