Shuk; is teaming up with Middle Eastern ingredient supplier, Belazu, and a special line-up of guest chefs to host a unique series of one-off supper clubs at Maslow’s Mortimer House 14th October & 11th November 2021.
Each of the evenings will see Shuk; and two acclaimed chefs take over the fifth floor of Mortimer House to create and present a three-course set menu. Exploring flavours from the Middle East, the supper clubs will be an intimate affair limited to just 50 covers and two sittings per night.
The chefs will be taking centre stage, introducing their dishes to the diners before assembling them at the central bar. Each of the supper clubs will be a one-off opportunity to experience three chefs at the top of their game, cooking together at once.
Each chef has been tasked with cooking a course that incorporates a signature ingredient from Belazu. The first event on October 14th will see Jake from Cinder on the starters, Mark Jankel from Shuk will be responsible for the main course, and Henry Russell from Belazu preparing the dessert.
Spiced aubergine pita chips, mint, coriander & pomegranate molasses
Josper grilled bread, confit garlic tahini, burnt tomato salsa
Burnt leeks, hazelnuts, pecorino, chives
Charred sweetcorn salad, coriander, chilli & crunchy corn
12 hour lamb neck, rose harissa, date molasses, amba tahini & mint
Yellow courgette, basil, smoky tomato & chermoula ratatouille (v)
Char grilled hispi cabbage, yoghurt, urfa chilli paste, spring onions & coriander
Hummus, schug & grated tomatoes
Tahini & fennel seed custard tart with beldi preserved lemon
At the end of each supper club, guests will receive a goodie bag that contains a Belazu product as well as the chefs tips for using them.
Reservations for the first supper club are now available here for groups of two, four or six. The first sitting will be at 6:45pm followed by an 9:30pm sitting.
