This Christmas, Pizza Express is bringing a new collaboration to the high street. A first for a restaurant, the pizzeria has teamed up with UK fashion designer Betty Jackson to support the charity ‘Dress for Success’ which helps disadvantaged women get back into work.
The collaboration sees Pizza Express’ 8,500 waiters and waitresses swap aprons for designer t-shirts, created exclusively by Betty Jackson. Each waiter will model Betty’s Dress for Success t-shirts over the Christmas period to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
Dress for Success promotes the independence of disadvantaged women by supplying them with professional clothing and also a unique network of support personnel and career development aids to help women thrive in both the workplace and life in general.
370 Pizza Express restaurants from across the country will pay homage to the queen of fashion with a donation of 25p from every La Reine pizza sold to Dress of Success. 50p from every Christmas Set Menu will also be donated to the charity.
Betty Jackson has designed two exclusive Dress for Success t-shirts for the Italian pizza brand. Senoras will model a line of pretty shoppers on their t-shirts while the Senors will wear a classic design featuring two intertwined coat hangers. Betty Jackson’s unique, designs will also be available to buy for £10 in Debenhams stores and online at www.pizzaexpress.com, with all profits going to the charity.
