This June, Bombay Bustle, the Indian restaurant in Mayfair from Samyukta Nair, will open its doors on a Sunday for the first time to welcome guests for the launch of their all day Sunday brunch: Samosas, Dosas & Mimosas.
Created by Executive Chef Surender Mohan, the menu is inspired by the decadent feasts a slow Sunday morning calls for, with re-creations of some of the city’s most loved brunch dishes alongside family recipes and seasonal delights.
From 11am, guests will be invited to kick off the feast with a mimosa of choice, taking their pick from the likes of Royal Cardamom Infused Peach, Blue Butterfly Pea Flower & Lemongrass, and Andhra Chilli Spiced Mango.
Those looking for a twist on the classic Sunday brunch can start with a selection of eggs including Baida Roti stuffed with Lincolnshire Sausage; and Tameta Per Edu, a popular breakfast favourite in Parsi households.
For something a little heartier, there will be a selection of griddle and grills available including dosas stuffed with their signature Aloo Masala, Duck Chettinad or Bheja Pepper Masala; and Amritsari Kulcha, soft leavened bread served with Rassa Aloo.
A selection of comfort foods including Bohri Lamb Samosas, Papdi Chaat Samosas, Kanda Poha with Spiced Goan Chorizo or Tadka Asparagus, and Lobster Tail & Scallop Khichdi will also be available alongside popular Bustle’s classics.
Whether brunching in Mumbai or London, no brunch is complete without a towering stack of light and fluffy pancakes, so Surender will be serving Ragi Pancakes, towered high and finished with a large spoonful of Mango Compote and a generous drizzling of Cinnamon spiced Maple Syrup; a family favourite in the Nair household.
A Royal Falooda Sundae topped with Rabri Ice Cream, and a Chocolate Fudge Sundae piled high with Spiced Coffee Ice Cream will be rounding off the feast, paying homage to Samyukta’s nostalgic Sunday memories with her father.
To wash it all down, Bombay Bustle’s bar team have created a’Cooler’ menu of fruit smoothies and fresh juices, the perfect Sunday morning pick-me-up, and for those looking for something a little stronger, a Badam Milk Pinacolada or a Kokum Margarita.
Samosas, Dosas & Mimosas will launch on Sunday 2nd June and will then run every Sunday thereafter. For every Sunday in June, guests will be offered a Mimosa of choice complimentary on arrival. Brunch will be served from 11am to 8pm.
