Not had the chance to nip off on that well-earned holiday yet? How does a quick culinary vay-cay to India sound? Summer might be coming to an end, but supperclub host Nilanjani Pai is keeping the temperature searing hot, serving a fiery ‘Goa On Your Plate‘ menu at the next event by Damn Good Curry.

Nilanjani was born in India’s smallest state, and left a little piece of her heart there. On 30th August, she’s putting her heart and soul into sharing the authentic cuisine of Goa, using the truly authentic wares of online grocer Spices of India. It’s hearty, hot fodder, influenced by the melting pot of historical settlers.

So this particular Damn Good Curry will feature the Goa sausage introduced by the Portuguese, stuffed into a slightly sweet bap also bequeathed to state by these settlers. Nilanjani describes the menu as ‘a protein-fiend’s dream’ – and indeed, the meal is fleshed out with a tasty trio of Lamb Xacuti, Chicken Cafreal and Goan Hindu Prawn Curry.

You might think that the volcanic Vindaloo you’ve tried in your local curryhouse is what Goan cuisine is all about – all heat and no nuance. But Nilanjani’s thoroughly flavoursome menu proves that there’s a lot more to the food than mere fire. This particular Damn Good Curry supperclub is hot property, in every sense of the word.
