Since opening its doors in October 2008, Westfield London-based restaurant The Meat & Wine Co has built up a reputation for innovative food and am extensive wine list. To celebrate its first anniversary, they are hosting a celebrity event in aid of adopted charity, The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.

Taking place on Thursday 29th October 2009 from 7pm, The Meat & Wine Co’s First Birthday Celebrity Waiter Event will see the tables turned on some UK personalities, such as Nikki Grahame, Aiselyne Horgan-Wallace, Danny Foster, Luther Blissett, Paul Morgan, Ingrid Dupre-Walsh (ex-Tarrant) as they serve guests an indulgent four course meal.

Featuring a host of house specials, the menu will include Salt & Pepper Calamari with Home-Made Passion Fruit Dressing; Pistachio Crusted Lamb Rack and ‘Madiba Charity Malva Pudding”, the Meat & Wine Co’s very own version of Nelson Mandela’s favourite dessert.

Tickets for this celebration evening are £60 per person and include the four course menu with wine, a glass of champagne on arrival and a great programme of entertainment.

In addition a raffle and charity auction will be held during the event, with proceeds going to The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, a brilliant cause that does so much to empower children and young people from impoverished backgrounds.

The Meat & Wine Co is situated in Westfield London’s Southern Terrace, a vibrant south-facing, pedestrianised street adjacent to the covered mall.
