The team behind Salaam Namaste Bloomsbury has recently opened a new venture in Camden called Namaaste Kitchen.

Headed up by chef Sabir Karim, the new restaurant features a modern Indian grill and bar where guests can watch the chefs at work. The food is a mix of traditional and modern grill, with dishes cooked in the tandoor clay oven, on the sigri over a coal flame and on the tawa, a hot iron griddle plate – all in full view of customers.

For Valentine’s Day, the restaurant will be offering a special six-course tasting menu for guests to sample the dishes at the restaurant. You can expect to find dishes such as Kadhai spiced pan seared scallops, Goan style sea bass and passion fruit cheese cake. The tasting menu will cost £39.50 with matched wines or £27.5 without wine.

Namaaste Kitchen is at 64 Parkway, Camden, London NW1 7AH. You can find out more about Namaaste Kitchen and see full menus at www.namaastekitchen.co.uk.
