Consider yourself the foodie oracle? Well, now’s your chance to prove it.

On Thursday 29th January, Sudi Pigott, food writer and author of ‘How to be a Better Foodie: the little bulging book for the truly epicurious’, will host a fun and informative foodie quiz evening at Food Inc. at Whiteleys W2 to put your gastro reputations to the test.

From 6pm the market stalls at Food Inc. will hold a free Comfort Food Fair, each hosting demonstrations and tastings where some of the answers to the quiz questions to follow can be found. Food Inc. Head Chef Jason Lynas will demonstrate his special recipe Seville Orange Marmalade, and tastings will include real hot chocolate, fine teas, fondues and of course the ultimate happy food – sausages!

From 7pm Sudi will introduce rounds of devilishly diverse foodie questions covering everything from farm to food market, frying pan to fork. Between rounds, Food Inc. Bar and Café will serve an optional menu of comfort foods designed to banish the winter blues. The menu will include Lancashire Hot Pot, Smoked Haddock with Parsley sauce, Faggots & Mushy Peas, Oven baked Rice Pudding with Clotted Cream and Rhubarb and Apple Crumble.

Gather four to six of your foodie friends, take your places at the Food Inc. dinner table and feed yourself happy whilst flaunting those nuggets of brilliance. The winning team will win a Champagne afternoon tea for six at Liberty of London plus there will be Food Inc. goodies for the runners up.

Ideal for an evening with friends, a work night out and for anyone who enjoys a good dose of culinary competition, tickets cost £5 per person for the quiz, a supper menu will be available and the bar will be open. Please call 020 7792 6020 or e-mail [email protected] to reserve a table, teams of four to six members are recommended
