On Friday 20th June 2014, The Cinnamon Club hosts an exclusive five course dinner paired with fine wines from the Loire valley. Set against the book-lined shelves of the Grade II-listed former Old Westminster Library, the ticketed On Friday 20th June 2014, 

The dinner will showcase the region’s most impressive vintages, with a menu from head chef Rakesh Ravindran that balances the fruit, minerality and acidity of the wines. One of the oldest wine making regions in France, Loire valley wines are characterised by a fresh, crisp flavours and high acidity.  Sancerre is undoubtedly the greatest name in the Loire and this exclusive menu features a fantastic 2008 Sancerre Moularde, which sells for £90 a bottle, so this is a great chance to try it alongside the cooking of The Cinnamon Club.

With wine pairings selected by The Cinnamon Club’s sommelier Laurent Chaniac, highlights of the dinner include tandoori king prawns with mace and cardamom paired with the Savennieres Cuvee Les Bastes Domaine Des Barres; pan-seared turbot with tomato lemon sauce paired with a 2008 Sancerre Moularde; and a spiced apple crumble with Tellicherry vanilla ice cream paired with the 2012 Coteaux du Lavon Saint Aubin Domaine des Barres.
