On the 20th March 2011, Trishna and wine experts Wine Chap will launch Trishna’s new monthly pairing evenings. Not Your Average Curry Night – Thinking Outside the Bottle will be London’s only regular evening that pairs wine, beer as well as cider with an Indian menu, for £45 per person.

What better way to learn more about the challenge of matching fine wines, beers and cider with Indian food, than to pair the Indian South Coastal cuisine offering at Trishna with the expertise of Wine Chap. The evening will offer a pairing menu with a difference: The nuances of fine wines are often swamped by powerful and heady Asian spices but Karam’s deft touch in the kitchen means his subtly-flavoured dishes are more graceful partners. Don’t expect either your usual curry night or generic wine pairing with potential line-ups including two Austrian whites, two Puglian reds, beer also sherry…

Not Your Average Curry Night is part of a series of celebrations to announce the arrival of new Head Chef Karam Sethi to Trishna restaurant in Marylebone. Karam started at Trishna in February 2011, and comes with great credentials which include time spent at Bukhara in Delhi (a regular on the San Pellegrino, World’s 50 Best Restaurants) and Trishna in Mumbai.

Not Your Average Curry Night – Thinking Outside the Bottle will begin at 7pm and future dates will include:-
