Tea! Oh glorious tea! In case you haven’t figured it out by now, I am a big fan of the stuff and there are few weekends when I’m not sitting somewhere with a pot to myself. So what better way to spend a Tuesday evening than to attend the launch of a new tea from JING, supplier to Michelin restaurants and five star hotels?
Spaghetti House, Sicilian Avenue, London
Whilst we were eating we saw several people queuing for tables, given that this was a Wednesday evening, this is a popular restaurant indeed. I imagine this is for two reasons, the food is very good and it is very reasonably priced.
Nicolas Feuillatte Rose Brut
I don’t subscribe to the view that Champagne is a wine only for special occasions, although it is the natural choice for them, the French for example drink it regularly as an aperitif and with dessert, so why shouldn’t we? I am certainly sold on this one.
Fish Taco Tuesday’s At Tortilla

Namo
How many restaurants can lay claim to a Banksy on their wall? The answer is probably not many. But Namo, a modern Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of leafy Victoria Park, can boast one. Well, almost one as it’s been partially painted over and graffitied on since it’s inception.
Veggie cool, London style
Veggie has suddenly become uber cool – almost over-night it seems. In July The Observer Food Monthly dedicated an entire edition to the cause; end of August sees NY’s highly regarded Otarian comes to LDN (fast-food, veggie style); and pretty much every other week every other celeb (as long as they’re of the young, female and lithe variety – oh and Russell Brand) is name-dropping Meat-Free Monday as the new ‘in’ cause. It’s hippy-chic all over again – but this time we’re talking food, not fashion.
