Not sure where to go to get the great home-grown specialist produce this Christmas? Championing ‘the best of British’, Oliver Peyton is hosting a festive food market at Inn The Park. Located in the lakeside surroundings of St James’ Park, the market will take place on Saturday 19th December from 10 a.m. till 5.00 p.m. and an abundance of the fine, locally grown produce will be available to those who go along. Produced in limited quantities some of the produce is not readily available at farmers’ markets, so this is an opportunity to buy some excellent British wares, including free-range meats and poultry, hand cured charcuterie, tempting cakes and market vegetables in the centre of London.

Throughout the day Inn The Park restaurant’s Head Chef Gillan Kingstree will be using produce from the market in his festive menu, demonstrating his culinary expertise. So you could take in the views across the lake whilst indulging in traditional Christmas dishes such as roast Sussex ham covered in East London honey; Clayton Farm organic Bronze roast turkey wrapped in bacon and potato dumplings with Secretts Farm purple sprouting broccoli and Mrs Tee’s New Forest mushrooms.

To help recreate dishes from Gillan’s menu at home, diners at the restaurant on the 19th will be presented with recipe cards. The head chef and growers will be on hand all day to answer any Christmas foodie questions. With a great selection of unique and perhaps inspiring ingredients, Inn The Park’s market could help take the hard work out of shopping for Christmas. It promises it will be an ideal one-stop-shop for gourmands to source everything for an excellent yuletide dinner with all the trimmings.
