Massis restaurant

A short canal-side walk past the bustling bars and eateries left our abstention seeming ill founded as, in the middle of the after-work crowd, we spotted our destination, Massis. A curiously subdued venue set amid towering hives of industry the food here is simple, tasty and a wonderful conduit for easy bonhomie among friends.

Sausages on line with Simply Real Sausages

Our favourite butchers in London, David House and Justin Preston of Allens of Mayfair, are turning their expert gaze onto Simply Real Sausages, one of the finest sausage makers in London for the past twenty years. Simply Real Sausages are now available nationwide for the first time through their brand new website.

Coach & Horses

Two foraging carnivores have modestly gentrified Clerkenwell’s ‘Coach & Horses’ into gastropub territory. However rather than tick box diners expectant of Michelin frippery alongside a beer garden / sprog storage pen, it now draws genuinely hungry foodies craving good value, hearty quality.

Plane Picnics at Heathrow by Gordon Ramsay Plane Food

These prepared picnics include some of the restaurant’s signature dishes including Caesar Salad, Smoked Salmon Croque Monsieur and Chocolate and pecan brownie with crème Chantilly. All the food can be taken onboard, or simply eaten in one of the many seating areas in the terminal. Probably with someone else’s child falling over your feet and an Australian backpacker fast asleep and dribbling on your shoulder.

KitchenAid90. You know you want one

I’ve always wanted a KitchenAid. Yes I know it’s ‘only’ a food mixer, but that’s like saying an Aston Martin is just a car. I mean just look at the KitchenAid! How can you not want to own and show off something like that? Not want to run your hand over its supple curves, to stroke its handsome little beater, to gaze at your hunky reflection in its lovely shiny bowl?

Recipes from KitchenAid 90

You can’t buy the KitchenAid 90 cookbook in the shops, you have to buy the iconic mixer and get it free. Not that you’d need much incentive to buy such a wonderful gadget. We have three recipes from the book to tempt you. Crab cakes with mango and sweetcorn salsa, Tortilla Pasqualina and Chocolate, apricot and Szechuan pepper tartlets
