In case any of you were wondering how best to prolong the season of excess, restaurant Angelus has got the perfect solution. They’ll be auctioning off their exclusive Chef’s Table for a unique Burns Night menu on 25 January. Scottish head chef, Martin Nisbet will be putting together a unique menu inspired by the dishes of his youth combined with Angelus’ renowned French cuisine.
Not only will you have the chance to eat at one of the most prodigious restaurants in London you’ll also be helping a fantastic cause. The money raised will be donated to St Mary’s Hospital. If you’re unlucky enough to be outbid then the restaurant will also be serving a Burns inspired menu, £5 of the £45 ticket price also being donated to helping the children’s unit at St Mary’s.
With a menu including such delights as a smoked haddock velouté and a Lanark Blue soufflé this is sure to be an inspiring and memorable meal. Helped along no doubt by the very generously donated magnum of Chateau Angélus 2003 vintage.
