John Burton-Race, Martin Blunos, Nancy Lam, Jun Tanaka and Ian Pengelley are among the celebrity chefs who have recently been unveiled as the individuals charged with the task of turning up the heat in the Live Kitchen Experience at Grand Designs Live 2010, from 1st- 9th May at ExCeL London.

Throughout the entire nine days of the show, 18 top culinary talents will have 45 minute slots in which to cook a signature dish from their own restaurant menu and offer a tasting to the audience. Through the series of live cookery demonstrations, visitors will also see a selection of Britain’s top chefs putting the show kitchen to the test. The chefs will be bringing together a variety of different tastes and flavours from around the world.

Chefs such as Nancy Lam, who will demonstrate her famous red chicken curry and Abdul Yaseen will show attendees how to make his vindaloo-style grilled pork chops, Mark Poynton will be demonstrating his slow roast duck breast with swede, honey, caper and raisin. For those into their seafood, Jun Tanaka will be creating his roast salmon, wild mushrooms and clams and Michael Wignall will be serving up sardine with portland crab cannelloni and octopus presse. Visitors with a sweet tooth will see Andrew Turner create his dessert of poached cherries, yoghurt and spiced butter bread.

In addition to their 45 minute challenges, Nancy Lam and Jun Tunaka, John Burton-Race and Martin Blunos will all be re-appearing at the show to dispense useful tricks of the trade.

Aside from celebrity appearances, Miele’s Home Economist team will putting on kitchen demonstrations every day of the show, allowing visitors further opportunity to experience live cooking. The wide-ranging Miele Masterclasses will include: An Introduction to Italian Cooking, A Taste of Thai, as well as Preparing and Cooking Fish. For those looking to get more hands-on in the kitchen, there will be a chance to get stuck in and partake in more intimate workshops.
