Hosted by Head of Wine, Salvatore Russo and Executive Chef and Meatologist, Ioannis Grammenos, each monthly club will be inspired by a different county as visited by the duo and aims to give diners an insight into perfect pairings of different steaks and wines from across the globe.

Launching on 14th March, priced at £120.00 per person, the first Steak & Wine Club will invite diners to experience a bespoke New Zealand inspired three-course meal with paired wine.

To start, diners will be able to feast on fresh mussels in a New Zealand white wine and garlic sauce, followed by the famed Lumina New Zealand grilled lamb cutlets with fluffy potatoes and chives or a Lumina New Zealand slow-cooked rump with grilled sweet potatoes. Ending the evening on a high, guests can indulge in a tasty New Zealand pavlova with fresh cream and kiwi.

When it comes to wine, the first event in the Steak and Wine club series will focus on sustainability, opting for a range of organic and biodynamic wines hand-selected by Russo following the duo’s trip to New Zealand this February. Each of the three courses will be accompanied by a different, expertly chosen wine pairing that will not only complement the dishes but elevate them.

The second monthly club hosted on the 25th April, will focus on Argentina, with Grammenos’s South Americaninspired menu, complemented by a choice of Malbec wines, selected by Russo. Tickets will be available for £120.00 per person and dishes include sea bass ceviche with zingy lime and orange to start, followed by an indulgent Argentinian rib-eye with chimichurri or scallops with carrot and cumin purée as the main event.

For dessert, guests can enjoy a classic South American favourite, alfajores dulce de leche, also known as sandwich cookies!

Paying homage to Heliot Steakhouse’s London location, the third club in the Steak and Wine series on 16th May will be UK themed and will be priced at just £120.00 per person. The menu includes quintessentially British dishes, such as prawn cocktail with Marie Rose sauce to start, followed by a choice of a flavourful Hereford fillet steak, accompanied by crispy roast potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding; or Devon white crab with ginger, chilli and avocado as a main. In true English style, guests can finish their meal with a light and refreshing Eton mess with juicy strawberries for dessert.

When it comes to liquid accompaniments, Russo will be lining up some of the strongest contenders on the UK wine scene to pair with this menu.

Celebrate the great taste of America with Heliot Steak House’s fourth ‘Steak and Wine Club’ event in this series – the American Masterclass – which will be held on American Independence Day on the 4th July 2023 and will be priced at £149.00 per person.

Guests can tuck into steak tartare with truffle and raspberries to start, before choosing from either a USDA grilled fillet with wild mushrooms or the USDA slow-cooked sirloin with baby potato mash and Bourbon glaze. To round the evening off, diners can feast on a heavenly Bailey’s chocolate mousse with roasted hazelnuts.

Vegetarian and vegan options are also available on request at each of the four Steak and Wine Club events.

Heliot Steak House’s new Steak and Wine Club events are available to book for tables of up to six at 7:30pm on the 14th March, 25th April, 16th May and 4th July 2023. Bookings can be made via the booking page on the Heliot Steak House website:  or at [email protected].
