Reinventing the quintessential British pastime of Afternoon Tea, guests of Melia London Kensington’s SW7 Brasserie can enjoy an array of elaborately crafted treats inspired by the wonders of the Natural History Museum.

From a Blue Whale’s Tail constructed from brownie, apricot and black sesame to a yuzu and bergamot tart resembling a Dinosaur Egg and a matcha and raspberry Butterfly.

To top off the edibles, guests can nibble on a choux-style black forest Owl and passion fruit and Thai basil flavoured Ammonite; each item paying homage to one of London’s most loved historical institutions.

Afternoon Tea classics including mini sandwiches filled with salmon and cream cheese, grilled vegetables with tomato and egg & cress mayonnaise are also included along with plain and raisin scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Guests can enjoy an accompanying glass of Chapel Down English sparkling wine as well as a selection of premium Canton teas ranging from Assam, Early Grey, Mango Noir or Jasmin to name a few.

The Natural History Museum-inspired afternoon tea is available Thursday – Sunday from 12pm-4pm and is priced at £29 pp and must be pre-booked at least 24 hours before. Book here.
