Had enough of Prosecco Brunches? East London Izakaya bar and restaurant Apothecary East is launching a new seasonal Sakura Highball Brunch.
The new brunch menu celebrates the Japanese tradition of outdoor parties and picnics under Sakura trees during cherry blossom season along with the Izakaya favourite of Highball (Haibōru ハイボール) cocktails, perfect for sipping and pairing with food.
Priced at £35.00 per person, the Sakura Highball Brunch menu will be served on Saturdays.
Diners can choose to order their highballs individually or go with the option of bottomless Highballs, Prosecco and Bloody Marys for £27.50 per person.
Apothecary East offers a range of dining areas for parties of all sizes and guests can enjoy brunch with friends in the Dining Room, on a High Table or in the Bar. The brunch menu features a selection of the restaurant’s most popular signature dishes.

- Karaage Fried Chicken
- Miso Aubergine
- Tofu Vegetable Gyoza
- Spicy Salmon Sushi Rolls
- Roasted Pistachio Mochi
For drinks, the bar team at Apothecary East has crafted a selection of three contemporary classic Highballs, with Japanese elements.
- Sakura Hai – Maker’s Mark bourbon, cerise liqueur, blossom bitters, soda
- Yuzu Gin-Gin – Kiyoko craft yuzu infusion, East London Gin, fresh lemon, ginger beer
- Violet Spring – Ginjo sake, esprit de figures, crème de violette, fresh lime, soda
Located on Charlotte Road, Apothecary East is a short walk from Old Street, Liverpool Street & Shoreditch High Street stations. The restaurant accommodates over 100 covers and whilst walk-in drinkers and diners are welcome, booking for the Sakura Highball Brunch is highly recommended.
Apothecary East’s Sakura Highball Brunch is available to book on Saturdays from 12pm to 2.30pm. Guests will have tables for 2 hours and free flowing drinks will be served for 1.5 hours.
