Sake set to blossom at London’s first “Hanami”

Akashi-Tai Sake Brewery is organising London’s first Cherry Blossom Festival. Big in Japan, the UK version of ‘Hanami” celebrates the growth of Japanese culture in the capital, which now boasts well over 200 Japanese restaurants. The cherry blossom tree holds a prominent place in Japanese culture and tradition, and celebrations are taken seriously, with a strong emphasis on food and drink.

Drop the choc at Bibendum

Bibendum is putting on a special Easter Monday supper menu at a deliciously tempting £29.50, with seven choices for each of the three courses. Old fashioned supper favourites such as Gloucester old sport pork chops, Roast rump of beef, and haddock and chips will provide a welcome respite for those who have over indulged in too many chocolate eggs. The evening will be relaxed occasion and offers an easy-on-the-wallet end to a long weekend

Dishes from the Royal Courts of India

Stirring the passion of his kitchen brigade with recipes that time has almost forgotten, Executive Chef Vivek Singh has created six exciting dishes that are influenced by a collection of Royal Courts that include the Mughals in the North, Nawabs in Lucknow, Nizams in the South, Marathas in central India and the Marwars in Rajasthan.
