Fish on the menu but Nik finds no tastes to really get his teeth into.

Emma tried breakfast for lunch at Brew, the south London cafe chain where you can have any meal at any time of the day.

The menu at Bayou is fairly broad. Gumbo, jambalaya, chicken, steaks, burgers, and a whole range of smoked dishes and New Orlean’s cooking. They could probably cut out the steaks and burgers.

A locally loved bistro in a legendary theatre. 

Much has been made by critics of the’love’ that goes into the cooking at Honey and Co and it’s easy to see why. The food isn’t complex in terms of technique or presentation, it just tastes very, very good. 

They do breakfast, brunch and dinner here and I like that. A working restaurant for people on the move and ideal if you’re coming to see a film, as you won’t miss the start and you can have something to eat after. Yes I cannot resist the easy ending, as casual affordable eating, it’s right up my street.

There’s a pleasant sourness to the base and no sense that it will carry on fermenting long after you’ve eaten it, the reason so many cheap pizzas make you feel bloated.
